Business Station and Gold Coast Innovation Hub partner to broaden business assistance on Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Innovation Hub today announced a collaborative partnership with Business Station which will create a new Gold Coast base for the management and delivery of the Digital Solutions – Australian Small Business Advisory Services program.

The partnership will provide additional assistance for startups, early stage scaleups and small businesses the Gold Coast and also provide opportunities for Business Station to engage and support the GC Hub’s broader network of collaborative partners, workspaces and community organisations.

Business Station is a not-for-profit organisation committed to helping small businesses thrive. They deliver the Australian government’s Digital Solutions services across Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory.

Gold Coast Innovation Hub CEO, Sharon Hunneybell said that the establishment of a presence for Business Station on the Gold Coast and the addition of new mentors with broad startup experience is a huge win for Gold Coast businesses.

“In the 4 years since establishment, the Gold Coast Innovation Hub has built a community of over 4000 businesses that have accessed our programs, initiatives and events. Our incubator services have enabled hundreds of Gold Coast companies to expand and grow their businesses nationally and internationally. With the introduction of ASBAS mentoring to the suite of services we offer, we can ensure that every Gold Coast business, if they have and ABN and less than 20 staff can access expert mentoring and ongoing support for their business free of charge.”

Business Station’s Digital Solutions program director, Agata Dharma, said the collaboration was a ‘no-brainer’ due to the alignment of the objectives of both organisations to see business owners succeed and achieve their business goals.

“Almost every business starts out as a small business, some businesses have global aspirations and some are happy to remain local. This collaboration will provide extra mentoring support through Digital Solutions for startups and companies that have set their sights on global markets, and new awareness for all business owners on the Gold Coast of the mentoring, workshops and webinars that they can access through this collaboration with the Gold Coast Innovation Hub.”
