GC Hub Toastmasters Achieves ‘Distinguished Club’ Status

Just one year after it’s official charter, GC Hub Toastmasters Club has been awarded one of the global organisation’s highest recognitions as a ‘Distinguished Club’.

The accolade is awarded to high-quality clubs that encourage and celebrate member achievement, provide a supportive and fun environment and offer professionally organised meetings with variety. It also recognises clubs that show strong growth, provide access to a formal mentoring program and ongoing evaluations that help members to grow and stay motivated to achieve their goals.  GC Hub Toastmasters is currently the second highest performing club out of 168 in Queensland for individual member achievements.

GC Hub CEO, Sharon Hunneybell said the club’s leadership team and a diverse member base were key to it’s rapid success.  “We were incredibly lucky to have such experienced Toastmasters leading the club from day one – it has provided great structure and support for everyone that has joined and I would like to thank Christine Lennon and David Finau for their contribution and mentorship that has resulted in a strong and confident leadership team that makes every new member feel welcome, willing and capable of improving their public speaking skills.”

The GC Hub Toastmasters Club is an entrepreneurial club that was established in response to a growing number of business founders on the Gold Coast that wanted to improve their public speaking and presentation skills.   The group meets every Wednesday at Gold Coast Techspace in Mudgeeraba.   Learn more about the club here.
