The Gold Coast Innovation Hub were delighted to support one of their partners – Small Business Expo at the Gold Coast Carrara Stadium last Wednesday.
Small Business Expos are collaborative marketplaces producing financial outcomes for small business owners across 6 primary regions across South East Qld. The success of these events is unprecedented: over $5 million in new business revenue generated for sponsors and exhibitors, 43 speakers sharing their expert business knowledge and over 21 supported charities.
The driving force behind Small Business Expos is Paula Brand. Being passionate about industry development and economic outcomes for businesses, Paula has worked in the industry development sector for over 24 years. Starting with sold out monthly networking lunches for over 3000 business owners and realising the lack of economic outcomes of such events, Paula launched her first Small Business Expo program.
The signature part of all Small Business Expos is business card draws where the majority of the exhibitors give away amazing prizes. The Gold Coast Innovation Hub put up a 3 months hot desk membership certificate valued at $960! Congratulations to Sandra Catalano, the Managing Director of the Roque for winning our prize.
With over 250 stands and over 5000 visitors, that was a day filled with energy and great networking.
