The Intelligent Health Innovation Showcase brings together local and international leaders in health technology innovation. The Gold Coast Hub are proud to be supporting this amazing event and delivering the Design Jam – bringing together startups, students, researchers and health workers to deliver innovative solutions in a 24 hour design blitz.
The Intelligent Health Innovation Showcase brings together local and international leaders in health technology innovation. Presentations and demonstrations will include Queensland Health, startup and industry innovations. Explore collaboration, partnering and funding opportunities between clinical, research, industry, startup and venture capital organisations.
What’s happening?
INNOVATION SHOWCASE: Contemporary healthcare innovations from GCHHS and across Queensland will be presented.Discuss the opportunities and challenges with health providers to explore how technology can benefit health outcomes.
STARTUPS: An opportunity for startups in the Digital Health space to demonstrate at the expo, visit and tour the hospital, and pitch to a panel for the opportunity for the 3 month residency programme.
FUNDING: Discussions on what organisations are looking to fund, and pathways to partnerships and collaboration with both GCHHS and eHealth Queensland.Advice from VCs on what attracts funding.
PARTNERSHIPS: Presentations from larger commercial organisations, focusing on their potential partnerships with both GCHHS, and startups.Not only focusing on innovation collaboration, but also how to take the innovation to global markets.
SPEED DATING: In rapid “speed dating” style we will match up potential student interns with startups and research teams for successive 7-minute introductions. A great way to identify opportunities to form teams and collaborate.
DEMO DAY: Come and visit startups as they pitch their wares across the day in the expo area. Hear about their innovation, current status, and where they are heading next. Additionally, industry and researchers will also demonstrate some of their recent innovations.
DESIGN JAM: A fast paced 24hr workshop that will commence with ideation, pitching and team formation after the showcase cocktail reception on Friday night. The following morning teams will reconvene at the venue for a facilitated solution design session supported by mentors and startup community members. The event will conclude with the presentation of concepts to stakeholders.
