Come hear Mathew Peterson, Head of Technology at Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation, when he highlights the technology that is used in the Commonwealth Games. Mathew has a long history in ICT having worked for NCR, IET Group, and the Macquarie Group. He was the Program Manager Venue Technology for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Corporation.
Mathew is currently responsible for the Technology Department which provides all technology infrastructure, systems and services which are identified as necessary and appropriate to plan, support and operate the Games major deliverables, inclusive of planning and Games-time operations.
The position entails being largely a service provider to all other functional areas and client groups across the organising committee.
The Technology Department incorporates the following Program Areas:
- Games Management Systems
- Technology Infrastructure Services
- Technology Results Services
- Technology Communications Services
- Technology Planning and Delivery
- Venue Technology Services
