Glasses raised to welcome new home for innovation on the Gold Coast!

Almost 300 people were in attendance at the Gold Coast Innovation Hub Public Launch Party on Thursday night. Innovators, founders, investors, high-growth business owners and government representatives all gathered under one roof to celebrate opening of their new home.

Sharon Hunneybell, the CEO of the Gold Coast Innovation Hub welcomed everyone with an opening speech thanking Chairman Danny Maher and Board director Geoff Smith for all their volunteering effort, drive and contribution that made the creation of the space possible. A thank you was also extended out to all the partners, sponsors and community members that have been supporting the vision of transforming the Gold Coast to a global innovation hotspot.

The event was sponsored by hub partners Prime Financial and Scale Innovations as well as local software companies CartonCloud and Gigl.

The party continued with great tunes from a local artist Dan Irwin, a fascinating VR demonstration from a Gold Coast company Varamore and memories were captured by hub member Photoshow together with lots of connections and conversations, introductions and interactions over drinks and pizza.

Throughout the evening our workspace partner’s Little Tokyo Two were conducting group tours through the Hub’s 3 levels of work, meeting and event space and sharing the benefits that access to over 50 advisors, a network of over 800 businesses, warm introductions to potential customers, support with the best talent possible and business mentoring can bring through a business-incubator space like the Gold Coast Innovation Hub. 2000sqm of hot desks, permanent desks, private offices, meeting rooms, event center, meeting rooms and a podcast studio provide a one-stop solution for all business needs.

If you missed out on the party there are more opportunities to join in the fun every Friday at our regular workspace tours. Regardless of whether you are looking for a space to work at, connections, investment, business mentoring or community, come along and find out how the Gold Coast Innovation Hub could benefit to you.
