The Gold Coast Hub is about to launch  a world class ‘google style’ innovation campus that will form the central location for digital and tech companies to work from, learn from and network from on the Gold Coast.  We have partnered with Little Tokyo Two to create and manage the campus.  Little Tokyo Two have created some of the largest and most dynamic communities of entrepreneurs, innovators and creators in South East Queensland!

We are now looking for 2 full-time Community Managers to foster and develop member relationships within the workspace and to assist the regional coordinator in building relationships and delivering community events and activities in collaboration with our outreach locations in Burleigh, Tweed, Mudgeeraba and Coomera.  The Community Managers will also work with Little Tokyo Two’s existing network to build an extended state, national and international community based on collaboration, trust, openness and support.


About you:

The ideal candidates for these roles will have previous account management or relationship management skills, supported by a confident but also flexible professional style. We are looking for people with diverse career backgrounds in industries such as hospitality, events, entertainment or creative agencies, people that can bring with them ideas and a drive to relate to all types of people and businesses.  The Gold Coast Hub team is focused on achieving outcomes and meeting goals for our business and members, and the successful candidates will be a part of this team and ready to kick goals!  We are looking for:

  • Ability to think outside of the box and provide creative solutions to member problems
  • High level written and verbal communication skills

About the roles:

We are looking for outgoing and vibrant individuals who are flexible and adaptable.  We are looking for people with the talent to develop ‘off the cuff’ initiatives for members to keep them engaged and happy.  The Community Managers will work with both the permanent and floating (daily) members and will help build strong communities and rapport with each of the individual members, supporting them wherever possible. Taking the time to get to know the members and what they are trying to achieve is important for lasting member relationships, so walking around talking to members, taking them for a coffee catch up will be all part of the role.

These roles are internally sales focused and the Community Manager’s success will be measured on attracting new members and working with the extended team to create a productive and supportive environment for existing members, ensuring the site maintains full capacity.  Our Community Managers will quickly get to know the startup environment and the start up to growth phase and use their knowledge to act as a ‘concierge’ providing key connections, support and assistance to businesses within the Gold Coast Hub.
