Can you believe that the Gold Coast Innovation Hub will be 4 years old this year! We now have over 4000 community members and hundreds of local startups, entrepreneurs and small business owners have participated in our paid programs. Every year, we listen to you, our community, about the issues you are encountering in business. We look for new opportunities for learning and we take feedback from our activities and programs and feed those into our planning sessions at the start of each new year.
Based on your feedback, we have a range of new regular events launching this year – along with all of your favourites that will continue to run. Here is a run down of the events you can participate in this month:
Brunch Like a Boss | Female Founders Club
A Bi-Monthly Event, held at Parkway Cafe Robina
BRUNCH LIKE A BOSS is a new and proactive Female Founders club thrusting open the doors to the Gold Coast’s badass Boss Ladies, Entrepreneurs, Start-ups and CEO’s.
We welcome you to a new experience of business exchange from a female perspective, together we will become storytellers, strengthen networks, create opportunities for investment, nurture innovative ideas and give rise to new and exciting collaborations within our exclusive network.
Receive a glass of bubbles on arrival and enjoy a delicious Brunch from the menu, every boss lady goes into the draw to win one of our famously donated female founder prizes.
Ladies you might want to brush up your elevator pitch because everyone is welcome to share their business story on the open mic. No pressure but remember, we are surrounded by opportunities and your next big break could be sitting in the room with you.
**Weather dependent – Parkway events are held in their beautiful cafe garden, if it is raining, the brunch will move over to Third Base Coffee, Palm Beach**

Digital Literacy Program for Over 50s
The 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each Month, held at the GC Hub Incubator, Varsity Lakes
Now, more than ever, we have been placed in situations where we have to use digital devices as our main form of communication.
The drastic switch to digital communication has caused so many older and wiser Australians to feel alienated, unable to contact anyone, simply because no one has shown them how easy digital communications can be.
If this sounds like you or you simply want to learn more, then the Gold Coast Innovation Hub’s Digital Literacy Program for Over 50’s is just what you need to become a ‘Pro Techie’ in today’s digital world.
The Digital Literacy Program, funded by the Australian Government through the Good Things Foundation, is a free and friendly program to help people to use the internet.
Lunch & Learn
Monthly Event, held at Freedom Potential Hybrid Event Space, Varsity Lakes
Join fellow GC Hub members and like-minded Business owners, start-up entrepreneurs and visionaries for a lunch on a mission.
Every month we invite a guest speaker to share their knowledge and expertise with the community.
Enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the experience and knowledge of a handpicked guest mentor.
