The last rush of corrections and adjustments are being made by Queensland businesses owners who are finishing their applications before Round 4 Ignite Ideas Fund Applications close at 2pm, Wednesday May 9th.
The Ignite Ideas Fund is an initiative of Advance Queensland that supports startups and small to medium Queensland businesses to commercialise market ready innovative ideas that will help them grow and compete in a global market and create new jobs.
Two tiers of funding is up for grabs with Tier one – up to $100,000 (excluding GST) per project and Tier two – up to $250,000 (excluding GST).
These grants provide businesses with market with support to deliver activities that will test and implement commercialisation plans for a product, process or service that is market-ready; or in a local market and ready to scale into new markets; or has the potential to significantly disrupt or ‘step-change’ key industries in Queensland.
The Ignite Ideas fund aims to support startups and small to medium Queensland businesses to commercialise market ready innovative ideas that:
- Generate jobs today and in the future
- Enhance innovation and skilled job opportunities across Regional Queensland
- Help Queensland businesses compete in global markets
- Grow Queensland’s reputation
The Gold Coast Innovation Hub team has been hosting Drop In sessions each week to support local entrepreneurs by reviewing their applications and providing feedback to ensure maximum success with the last one being held Tuesday 8th 11 am – 12pm (https://www.gchub.com.au/event/last-ignite-ideas-fund-applications-round-4-drop-in-session/).
