The Gold Coast Innovation Hub are pleased to support the inaugural Compassion Innovation Challenge, which launches on the Gold Coast next week.
An initiative of Compassionate Gold Coast, the challenge is open to undergraduate students and is supported by the Queensland Government through the ‘We are Queensland’ Small Grants funding. The Compassion Innovation Challenge aims to connect social innovators, business entrepreneurs & cultural leaders and facilitate innovative ideas for products, services, events and activities that could make a real difference in our Universities, Tertiary Institutions and across the wider Gold Coast community.
The Compassion Innovation Challenge kicks off at Burleigh Common on Tuesday 28th August.
In a fun and interactive evening the Compassionate Gold Coast Team will aim to tease out the issues that impact on students feeling welcome and connected; work out ideas that support dialogue, build trust and promote understanding; and play out ideas that will make a difference. Along the way, participants tap into their own creativity, learn new skills and develop connections which may assist them in their life and career into the future.
The top ideas from this event will be presented at the ‘Pitch & Awards’ Event on Tuesday 25 September, 5-9pm.
Winners from the Pitch & Awards event receive Gift Vouchers, Awards, Mentoring and Seed-Funding. Everyone will receive Hospitality, Master Class, a Certificate of Recognition and Participation, and the satisfaction of knowing that you’ve made a difference to others!
